Mark Langford's KR2S Project

William Wynne's rear starter method

revised July 1, 2000

This is William's rear mounted starter setup as mounted to his Pietenpol. This setup allows for a more streamlined profile, and uses a 68" Warp Drive prop and 12" spinner. Oil cooler and filter are mounted to the firewall. This flexplate is steel but could be made from aluminum. This will be the hot setup for fast planes like the KR2S and canards.

There are a lot more photos of the rear starter setup at my 2000 Corvair College web page.
